Is It Ok To Tan Before A Brazillian Wax

A kiss and a goodbye at a farewell Epic

I went for a couple of days to Santiago to cancel the debt he owed to one of the most spectacular bands of the rock scene worldwide. Yes, I'm talking about Faith No More, because for various reasons I could not attend to their previous performances in our country, but I could not miss this piece of history.

Very few bands can afford to come two years in a row and do three shows, and fill in each of them, a few say that the Chilean public is the best and the craziest of all, but there is ONE with the a relationship that began to develop in that distant 1991, when with two superb performances and grab of a Vodanovic poto included, wrote one of the great chapters of the Festival de Viña ... a relationship that grew every year until symbiosis may occur between Patton's boys and their fans, which speaks of a connection one of a kind.

I think not many people outside the band we love, understand the importance of this last visit, was the last show of the tour 2.0, the last time you went to see them playing together, and finally, but not least, they have chosen our country as the last time to say goodbye once and for all scenarios, at the expense of major cities or in his native San Francisco ... heard the cry of the stalwarts captured in thousands of signatures , and decided on the "johns" to put a finishing touch to this huge story of love, madness and spitting ... as God intended tatita.

This came spinning in my head when I first left heading for the capital Osorno. Is supposed to be a long 12 hours, but I did hear short because each of the hymns of LA BANDA. Sometimes awake, others half asleep and other dream, I was singing alongside Patton, apologizing for not having been to other concerts. I thought again and again as subjects to be interpreted, and that whatever would be equally satisfied. 100% Satisfied

because FNM is of the very few bands that can indulge in emblematic songs stop playing adored by fans, to touch others as well beloved. You can afford to do different setlist in each of its presentations farewell tour ... not completely, but with different themes. If you ask a fan of FNM, I can almost certainly say that all or most of us, we have the same favorite songs, something I see with my friends, then all we like San Francisco native, sang, we were excited, and we have between our choosing songs that are not the same. By then I had done a great setlist in my head, I would not be so far from that would take place on Sunday.

Stadium gates A Bicentennial of Florida I was. I think they were around six-thirty in the afternoon. Outside she was part of the show the folly of Israel, Monotonix, sorry I have not glimpsed. I looked over and over again the faces of those who, like me, eagerly waiting to enter the enclosure to be part of that fellowship as expected. The nervous and eagerly filled.

would have to wait a little longer, but the wait would not be tedious, for the Lord Claypool and Co.. were about to deliver doses of a drug as excellent bizarre low bases, which would be enjoyed live for the first time for thousands of Chileans. Time passed quickly, and I could not enjoy the best lesson that gave these three brilliant musicians, because in my mind was mulling all These reactions to the performance of FNM and went over and over and over again the issues he longed to touch.

not remember whether the time was closer to 21:20 or at 21:30, but I remember how I felt when the lights of the stadium and lit up the stage, but I find it quite difficult to explain, only I know the excitement of being part of this story was the greatest at that time. A blink, and leaving five inmculado sheathed in a white suit, with the exception of Puffy, and with the appreciation that I read on their faces, began Bordin and others followed: Epic starting to sound loose and hysteria in the stadium. This I painted for memorable, at the end of all humming the theme on the keyboard! Then one of my favorite Pegaditas Everything's Ruined (one of the surprises!) And Be Aggressive ... and begin fulfilling the dream of my setlist! A constant jumping, piercing screams, sweat, damn smell of marijuana, and other things, cameras and phones were already partners in the quintet.

had been only three songs and I was very tired, could have been a long journey, the fatigue accumulated from work or maybe something else ... in my opinion was the mess that came to me after seeing them and that everything would appear as had imagined. Then came Caffeine and, to my taste, unnecessary "Ben" (cover of MJ), all seasoned between songs with Patton and Bottum phrases in a correct, but funny English. The Gentle Art of Making Enemies brought his first chords and my head only came the phrase Happy Birthday, Fucker! havoc, to pursue another high point of the night, Last Cup of Sorrow . I do not know why but I always associated this with "Stripsearch" so I missed the latter that night. At the end of "Last Cup .." came a lot of laughs, as Bottum question "are OK?", And Patton adds "the crack!" And then read a rock painting area, the mythical happy ending, fuckers who sincerely thanks Mike. Helpless begins, and that feeling of beginning again, exciting theme from beginning to end, where 20 thousand throats were torn sense screaming help! help! help! Without waiting be dropped with Cuckoo for Caca .

Another highlight of the evening was Evidence, a subject that usually South America (acostumbraban. .. sniff) sing in English, and as Patton said, "is a lament Mapuche version gringo" ... simply outstanding! This was followed by another of the pleasant surprises of the night, I mean the sensational "As the Worm Turns" with its intro that makes the hair stand on end in the studio version, so imagine how he did it live! Henceforth only moments, a sample of this was the interpretation of my favorite of all Midlife Crisis ... shouted so loudly by the audience and with nearly four minutes of a synchronized diving across the gallada, including when we sing a capella "... you're perfect, yes it's true, But without me you're only ...". Here is placed a mask Patton S & M, with derision including Don Francisco, to delight in the classics by Spirit . Followed King for a Day and the tremendous performed cover that I've taken with Quererte , our cultural icon Violeta Parra. To end the first half with two real hymns: Ashes to Ashes and apotheosis Just a Man, to retire, but luckily again to continue the show.

The first encore was three true classics of the band: the surprising Zombie Eaters; Surprise, You're Dead! , with powerful cutting thrash riffs, and the party moved back to We Care a Lot . Again withdrew from the scene and the stadium came down asking to return, because there was still ... rope around me sounded like a rumor arose that called for "Digging the Grave", which would be satisfied with the second encore. That touched the success of Easy Commodores, and present partners were fused in an embrace with almost no time to give way to an eternal kiss that seemed to also give the band and became the highly anticipated ... aggressive Digging the Grave , resulting in a mosh widespread competition.

the last encore I was beginning to breathe in the atmosphere of sadness, melancholy, but also joy, gratitude, pride. Kiss & Say Goodbye , The Manhattans was the icing cake for this historic event: "This was the saddest day of my life. The day I called to give bad news. I can not see them again, for ... due to our obligations. And his, fucking and johns. And this is our last day together, I hold in my arms one last time. When you turn around and go, do not look back. Do not look back right? Because I remember you, likewise. Brothers and sisters, just say the fucking besémonos and goodbye ", with these words began FNM's farewell from the stage, we last showed what is done Faith No More, what good musicians, artists and people who are. I was part of an event that will be forever in the hearts of those who attended that day, also in Patton, Gould, Bottum, Hudson and Puffy, was part and will belong forever to the representation of a beautiful story, goodbye to some teachers who were present in much of my life, and will remain so.

Thanks for everything, Faith No More!

Pd: Finally it was not my ideal setlist, because I missed a few topics that would have put in place for others. These are: Falling to Pieces, Stripsearch, Take This Bottle The Crab Song, A Small Victory and Ricochet.

Pd2: The only thing that bothered me that day was the music that placed between the bands, if there was nothing better than to place, the better we would have been silent. And yet that, the smell of marijuana. To where you looked they were smoking, which mixed with the strange music made me think he was actually elsewhere. Ah! and how silly not to mention the spitting ... but Patton's was ordered, no longer something asquerosísimo.

Pd3: I hope we get past the anger.
